Like the original Gex, HBO comedian Dana Gould is back as the voice of Gex with an all new arsenal of one-liners. During the Kung Fu levels, he talks like a karate master and wears a red butt-kicking uniform. For example, on the prehistoric channel, the gecko puts a bone through his nose and dons a leopard-skin outfit. Depending on what the level theme is, Gex will choose appropriate attire. One level has a Star Wars theme while others are rooted with Kung Fu inspiration the variety is all over the map. Like Nintendo's Super Mario 64, players will choose each level via hub system and seek out certain remote control power-ups to unlock later levels.Įach level in the Television Realm is a sarcastic parody of actual television programs/movies of new and old. Where the original featured side-scrolling platform action, the sequel Gex: Enter the Gecko features a brand new 3D engine complete with adjustable camera views, mission objectives, and all new adventures. With that incentive (the cash), the wise cracking lizard slips into his special agent suit and plunges headfirst into the Television Realm. When Gex comes to, the mystery men plead with the gecko to take the cash and help destroy Rez for good.or at least make him disappear. When Gex tells them that he's retired and doesn't care, one of the goons hits the gecko on the head and takes him to a secluded place. They inform him that Rez is back and looking for vengeance the evil monster is planning to destroy the Television Realm once more.and possibly the world. One day, two secret agent goons showed up at Gex's doorstep. Little did he know his adventure was just beginning. After saving the Television Realm from the evil Rez in his first adventure, the gecko was ready to kick back, relax, and watch a little television. "Is it just me, or am I engulfed in flames?" is one of the many one-liners uttered by Gex, a wise cracking gecko who should check himself into television rehab he's addicted to it.

There was one persistent issue, though – the banner was just barely wide enough at five feet. I was happy with an X-banner stand as my home office video conference background – it’s incredibly lightweight, easy to set up and take down, and good for travel. I had it for three years before going with Anyvoo when it came out. I had an X-banner stand before I got my Anyvoo backdrop. Here’s what it looks like when it’s up in my office: It is lightweight, designed specifically for video meetings (so it’s not too big or small), it’s collapsible and easy to travel with, the fabric is like workout gear so it doesn’t wrinkle, and it’s customizable. This is the best video conference backdrop on the market (and it’s not really close). Playing a Redguard, a High Elf, or an Orc might feel more natural in the next game than it did in Skyrim, where the focus was more heavily on the province as the Nord homeland in both the marketing and game itself. Not only that, but if the Bretons, Redguards, Orcs and Elves all feeling essential to the setting, players could find a great breadth of roleplaying opportunities in The Elder Scrolls 6. With the Redguards and Bretons naturally sympathetic when compared to the god-banning inquisition-forming Aldmeri Dominion, the Orcs and their nation's suffering under Redguard and Breton domination could add nuance to the political landscape of the game and any related player choices. Indeed, the Orcs could prove to be a great twist in the story of The Elder Scrolls 6. Afterwards, it was rebuilt in the Dragontail Mountains, which provides Bethesda a great opportunity to present players with a completely different Orsinium to the one seen in The Elder Scrolls Online and to make the plight of the Orcs against their human neighbors far more sympathetic. Orsinium has been sacked and rebuilt many times in its history, and it has been established that Breton and Redguard forces sacked the city once again during the early Fourth Era. Second, the fracturing of the Empire under the Mede Dynasty could rob the Orcs of their pathway into mainstream society, causing them to focus on expanding their own territory instead. With the Empire under the thumb of the Aldmeri Dominion throughout the events of Skyrim thanks to the White-Gold Concordat, there are two possible reasons for increased Orcish aggression in the next game.įirst, the Orcs could find that collaboration with the Aldmeri Dominion serves their interests if they’re technically an ally of the Empire. Not only that, but Orcs across Tamriel found greater acceptance in mainstream society because of their use in the Imperial Legion as warriors and blacksmiths. Their effort ultimately failed, and it is possible that if the military dominance of Hammerfell has been weakened by recent events in the lore, the Orcs will take the opportunity to expand their territory. The establishment of the Orsimer nation of Orsinium in the First Era was the first time that the two provinces collaborated in an attempt to take the new city. It was not a threat from elves of any kind, however, that led Hammerfell to join forces with High Rock in the past. This would suggest that true elves could play a huge role, but that means overlooking one key fact: the orc's political stance in recent years. If Yokuda is part of the setting, not only could the Redguards face problems from the Altmer to the south, but it is possible that the game will see the return of the Redguard’s ancient enemies from their homeland, the Lefthanded Elves. Still reeling from the Aldmeri Dominion’s occupation in the south of the province and the subsequent guerrilla campaign to drive the High Elves out, the region could be under more pressure than ever in the next game, and that could give the Orcs a unique role in the story. Although fans might guess that this choice of setting would place the Bretons and Redguards in the spotlight, the lore of the region hints that it could mean big things are in store for the Orcs of Tamriel.Īssuming that The Elder Scrolls 6 takes place at some point in the 4th Era, Hammerfell is in a bit of a political pickle. ![]() The Elder Scrolls 6 is rumored to be set in the provinces of High Rock, home of the Bretons Hammerfell, home of the Redguards and the once-thought lost continent of Yokuda, where the Redguards originated. ![]() The Orcs may never have taken the spotlight in an Elder Scrolls game, but that could change thanks to the rumored setting of The Elder Scrolls 6. ![]() ![]() but if you get unlucky and meet the wrong boss, it's the end of the road. Loads of other bosses would be extremely troublesome too - against the Necromancer, you'd have a hell of a hard time killing the summoned skeletons fast enough to inflict any real damage on him, and the Shrieker would be both extremely hard to hit and untargetable half the time.īasically, it seems like a really sweet setup for doing regular waves, and probably quite destructive to SOME bosses. Like, what do I do if I run into the Hag or the Siren out there? I'd have basically zero damage-output if the Leper gets disabled, and the Hag would effectively destroy me what with being immoveable and stuck behind her Cauldron. Even though I'd brought all available bandages, it just wasn't enough, and once they ran dry, it got really hard for the Vestal to keep everyone alive against bleed-heavy foes.īut I'm a bit concerned about 'putting all my eggs in one basket', damagewise. Kept running into crabs and their damnable Arterial Pinch, or rows of rabid dogs who'd just stack bleed on the same character like there's no tomorrow. On my previous run, I ran out of bandages halfway through - SO MANY enemies dishing out high bleed. Battlefield Medicine also seems like a good adition. I have heard of this combo, and considered it. Every time I ran into a Plough Horse, I knew that I'd be UTTERLY screwed if I didn't take it out before it did its Trample-attack, and with only the Leper (generally the slowest guy around) capable of destealthing enemies, that could get pretty hairy. A setup that's SLIGHTLY less vulnerable to positional changes would be nice too. You need either some serious Bligh/Bleed or Armor Piercing (perhaps the Shieldbreaker?), and some proper back-row damage for dealing with high-priority targets back there. Vestal and Jester are obviously shoe-ins, but I think the other two needs to be different. ![]() (You need to spend turns buffing it up, then a turn riding to the frontlines, and if you use it too early in the battle you'll be saddled with a NASTY debuff for the rest of it.) dealing with the Thing was a horrorshow.Īnd of course, VERY limited back-row damage - Holy Lance and Finale are basically your only options for dealing serious damage beyond the final two rows, and the first one can get messed up VERY easily by positioning-changes, while the second is extremely situational. No armor-penetration, no PROT-debuffs, no Blight, barely any Bleed. Any time I wound up meeting Cove-enemies, I got slowed down to a crawl, chopping my way through crabs and snails at a glacial pace, often while back-row enemies bombarded me with attacks. It's a powerful team, sure, but it's notably short on a few things - most obviously, a way to deal with high PROT enemies other than just wailing on them and doing scratch-damage. I didn't get much farther than 200 kills, and some parts of the journey were PAINFUL. I gave this setup a chance, and it worked, KINDA. after the sleeper there may spawn non unique bosses at the end of a "chapter" (stress overkill incoming) ( My leper got 80% (max), with quirk, buff and one trinket) The defensiv buffs from the leper and crusader last now the whole fight and make them nearly immune to normal damage. There is a colour that gives you a +15% bonus on virtue The Leper for killing everything coming too close and tanking everything. The crusader for damage and some stress heals (Holy Lance was very helpful in this party) Vestal for some sweet heals and range attacks Jester for stress, some blood damage and the ability to move the crusader from second position to the third.
